In short

A small coliving for people who value quality, space and community.

Luzia Coliving is a four-bedroom villa in Santa Luzia, a quiet residential neighbourhood a 12–16 minute walk from Funchal's centre and the sea. Every room has its own desk, monitor and ergonomic chair; the house has 3 bathrooms, a coworking corner, a big kitchen, a garden and 3 sunny outdoor areas with views over the city and the Atlantic.

We keep the house small on purpose. Guests are hand-picked for a calm, respectful mix of remote workers who like to share a dinner or a hike, and who also appreciate a closed door when it's time to focus.

Community

More than a place to stay.

Luzia itself hosts very little. You won't find a packed schedule here, but thanks to our location and close ties with Madeira's digital nomad scene, there's always something happening nearby. When you move in, we connect you with the island's WhatsApp groups for hikes, sports, coworking and events, so you can join as much or as little as you like.

What our colivers say

Our reviews on Google Maps
  • “Community flows naturally”

Living at this Coliving felt beautifully easy and real — it’s a space where community flows naturally, with plenty of room for both connection and solitude. The house itself is modern, super clean (thanks to regular cleaning crews), and the kitchen’s a dream for shared meals… There’s no fixed agenda — you’re free to be, do, suggest, or simply rest.

  • “It quickly felt like I'd known them for a long time”

The coliving experience was absolutely awesome! The house has 3 floors and it has a special homey character. The other nomads were really lovely and it quickly felt like I'd known them for a long time. Every day was different and exciting, we got to experience so many things together.

  • “Nina probably knows all the nice secret spots in Madeira”

Nina probably knows all the nice secret spots in Madeira, from beautiful coastal hikes to waterfalls and levadas. If you're allergic to tourist crowds, ask her to lead the way.

  • “Good find in Funchal”

Spent a month here. The rooftop has an incredible panorama view of the city, and the price is a lot more friendlier than other colivings in town. The host Nina always tries her best to accommodate the specific needs. Good find in Funchal.

  • “Nina is great host, she really cares about the details”

The house is sooo cozy, bright, warm, modern, tasty furnished. The terrace has a stunning view, city center and supermarkets are only 12-15 minutes away (walking distance). The way back will replace your workout at the gym 😀 Nina is great host, she really cares about the details.

Great spot with a beautiful view near Funchal central. The rooms were comfortable. Washing machine was a huge plus! Would stay here again.

  • “Every room has a dedicated workspace”

The property is beautifully renovated with a modern design. The house is flooded with natural sunlight throughout the day and the kitchen is well equipped. A bonus is that every room has a dedicated workspace, which is super convenient for remote work. One of my favorite parts was enjoying breakfast in the morning sun and dinners on the balcony overlooking the stunning view of Funchal.

“I stayed in this house for almost two months, and it’s honestly one of those places you don’t forget. … Nina and Kurt are incredibly kind, warm, and genuinely caring hosts. They’ve also created something rare with their co-living.”
